For millennia, the Ego has been encroaching on hybris, redefining aesthetic and cultural canons. In ancient Egypt we encounter Horus, a falcon-headed deity, and in classical Greece the Minotaur and Medusa; in the Middle Ages St Christopher the Cynocephalus and the Manticore; in modern times Doctor Jekyll aka Mister Hide, the replicants of Blade Runner and the X-Men saga. Humanity has always considered the body as a temporary chrysalis. L’umanità ha sempre considerato il corpo come una crisalide provvisoria.
