The event opening on Wednesday 13 September 2023 from 6.30 p.m. is a bi-personal which is part of the PHOTOFESTIVAL 18TH circuit. Authors with very different personal and professional backgrounds, united only by their instrument, the camera.

K. Hödl Nikon Coolpix 900 and Sony Alfa 100
G. Serravalli - Lumix GX8.

Karin Hödl presents herself with three projects. The first abstract, the second figurative and the third imaginary. Although they are three different themes, both in subject matter and technique, what binds them together is a story that starts from the origin, moving from the present and then diving into an imaginary future. What characterises these works is the ultimate work of the artist who presents some of them with manual retouching using shiny and reflective materials on opaque surfaces, thus creating surprising visual effects. Gianluigi Serravalli, an artist originally from Ferrara, has lived and worked in Milan since 1955. A keen observer reality that surrounds him, he investigates it with his signature sarcasm through his Lumix that has become a life companion for him. He chooses on this occasion to present a series of shots linked to a specific dynamic characterised by a rich series of references. "I stop and watching the moon reflected in a puddle, appearing and disappearing among the clouds, flowing like in a Méliés film. A GUARDAINSU guy passes by and puts his foot in the puddle: the SPLASH is like a CIAK in the GAG of moments on the stage of humanity...."
