Research
The language of Mihai Vrabies, young artist of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, student at the University of Art and Design, presents itself as a theater open on the unconscious, full of poetry and mystery. Digging in the interiority of the soul, without dwelling on the surface of things, Vraibes faces up the color to put it in crisis, making it evanescent; he deals with the form, bringing it to its logical extreme, wasting away every possible place of consistency. The themes of the sacred and the spiritual, the violence of the gesture, the absence of the solution in the tumult of passion of painting, the materials as intangible substance of the pain and of the will are the central themes of research by Vraibes that presents an interesting, and deliberately not-codified, new way of the contemporary lyrical abstraction.
