Giulia Baccara was born in Milan in 1982, a city to which she is very attached and where she still lives. Already as a child she had an attraction for the world of drawing, graphics and illustrations, which have always represented for Giulia a way of telling and expressing herself and her life.
His artistic training began at the Liceo Artistico Caravaggio in Milan and then continued at the Istituto Europeo di Design where he obtained a diploma in Graphics. After his graduation he initially worked as a graphic designer in the city of Milan, but then decided to move to London, where he approached the world of illustrations and became passionate about them. Once back in Italy he began to draw on his own by making some illustrations in children’s books.
His drawings tell small stories, try to enclose in a graphic sign, and with soft colors, moments, dreams and desires. The subjects represented are often animals or human figures, generally subjects that are related to the natural world. His technique combines ink and colors with watercolor on paper.
