Pietro Delasco is an Italian contemporary artist.

Delasco was born in Brescia in 1957, to Brazilian parents. His family is a family of artists and the young Pietro, strongly fascinated by his father's paintings, spends his childhood hours in his father's studio, learning the techniques of drawing and painting from an early age.

When he was only 10 years old, he took part in his first painting competition, in which the young artist entered a self-portrait.

A few years later he saw some pictures by Vincent Van Gogh for the first time; he looked at them, looked at them and discovered the 'movement of colour', promising himself that one day he would be able to paint like this.

Delasco completed his university studies in Engineering and immediately started his business career, skipping many steps early on and achieving a respectable position in a short time.

His profession allowed him to travel, but Delasco, who still did not feel completely free, decided to abandon his career as an engineer to devote himself completely to art.

He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, gaining recognition even beyond national borders, especially in Brazil, the artist's second home.

His style is partly influenced by Pop Art for the use of very strong colours and subjects belonging to the entertainment society, including famous actors and singers, but his works are also influenced by artists such as Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Gaugin.
