Marco Lodola was born in Dorno (Pavia) in 1955. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and Milan and did a dissertation on Fauvism, which was the major influencer of his work. Other artists, apart from Matisse, that can have influenced him include Fortunato Depero and Beato Angelico. At the beginning of the 1980s, he and many other artists founded the New Futurist movement, with art critic Renato Barilli as its main exponent. 

He had held exhibitions in the main European cities such as Rome, Milan, Florence, Bologna, Lyons, Vienna, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Monte Carlo, Sao Paulo, Venice, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Turin, Boca Raton, Miami, New York, Palermo, Udine, Bruxelles, Beijing. He has also collaborated with several modern authors, such as Aldo Busi, Marco Lodoli, Giuseppe, Pulina, Claudio Apone, Tiziano Scarpa and Giuseppe Cederna and with various musicians: 883 featuring Max Pezzali, Renzo Arbore, Timoria, Jovannotti, Andy (Bluvertigo) and Syria.

He has also taken part in exhibitions and projects for important manufacturers and firms, such as: Swatch, Coca Cola, Ferrari Wines, Titan, Grafoplast, Dash, Harley Davidson, Ducati, Riva, Illy, Francis-Francis, Carlsberg, Valentino, Coveri, Fabbri, I Mirabili, Shenker and Seat.
