Born in Madrid in 1948. He studied Architecture and Fine Arts in Madrid and Valencia. He arranged his residence between Paris and Soller (Mallorca). Abstract expressionism and the historical avant-garde, abstraction and figuration intersected in Miguel Ángel Campano's work. National Prize for Plastic Arts in 1996, is considered a mandatory reference in the renewal of Spanish painting of the eighties decade. His great retrospective at El Palacio Velázquez in Madrid in 1999 was the confirmation of the evolution of an artist with great weight in Spanish contemporary art.
His works are in collections such as the Museo d’Art Contemporani, Barcelona, ​​Valencia Institute of Modern Art (IVAM), Valencia, Center Georges Pompidou, Paris or the Museo Nacional Centro de Arta Reina Sofía, Madrid.
