Martin Quen was born in Atlanta in 1968. His family had a unique balance of artistic, yet grounded values. His mother was a well-respected designer and art consultant. Art and discussions of design were commonplace in the Quen home.

From a young age, Martin studied the works of Rothko, Matisse, and Kandinsky. Through family connections, a well-known artist in Atlanta took a keen interest in young Martin’s artistic development. Martin credits this artist with his unique compositional style. Being exposed to this artist’s way of life taught young Martin that creativity and artistic dreams can be realized.

At the age of 18, he became active in graffiti competitions and evolved to be a world recognized graffiti artist. He began traveling to Madrid, Miami, and New York for these competitions which exposed him to a great variety of styles and influences. His painting style had previously been a muted color palette much like Monet then transformed into a bold color palette similar to Miro as his graffiti style emerged. His works then softened to more of an emphasis on sophisticated compositions with bursts of color. With his constant creativity, he has become one of our most requested artists. Martin’s work can be found in both national and international collections. With the diversity of his art, his work receives widespread appreciation.
