Beatrice Caruso, a graduate of the three-year course in Sculpture and then the two-year course in Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, works mainly with painting and multimedia installation.

Her research focuses on the landscape: fragmented, transfigured, declined according to an intimate and mental dimension.
Layering, both material and temporal, are essential elements of her painting practice, which essentially consists of two long-term series: Déchirer la montagne and Studio per un paesaggio mentale.

Recent exhibitions and participations include: Every food is a landscape, curated by Marco Trulli and BJCEM (Polo del '900, Turin, 2022); Estremi elastici, curated by Estuario Project Space (Ex macelli, Prato, 2022); Start (Fondazione Amleto Bertoni, Saluzzo, 2022); Wopart (Lugano - CH, 2021); Segni Particolari? (Scuola Popolare di Villa Romana, Florence, 2021); Abecedario d'Artista (Palazzo del Governatore, Parma, 2021); Rea! (Fabbrica del Vapore, Milan, 2020).
In January 2020, with the video installation East/West (2 August 1980) exhibited within the framework of Art City Bologna, she won the second prize of the PubbliCITTA' project.
Her artistic residencies include: Searth (Isola della Cona, GO; 2022); Divago - Festival Biennale in via del Campo (Genoa, 2021), Viadellafucina 16 Condominio-Museo (Turin, 2020), Michelangelo Reload II (CAV - Centro Arti Visive, Pietrasanta, 2018).
