But, beyond any anecdote, there is the virtuosity of the manner, in particular the treatment of the colours and their iridescent effects. There is also this very particular way of manifesting the presence of a banal creature, often neglected. Adèle Renault's pigeons, with their round eyes with hypersaturated irises and their almost majestic posture, have a presence that calls out and reminds us of the beauty that we forget to recognise in everyday things.
