Elian is a contemporary Slovak representative of imaginary visual art. His work includes several techniques dominated by assemblage, particularly oil painting. In his work, in which stands firmly the dialogue between the physical world and his personal mental life, he presents visions stemming from the subconscious, dreams, imaginations and personal experiences. He gives prominence to the power of nostalgia and melancholy in the study of both the human psyche and spirit in the motifs immersed in a strange, almost dreamlike atmosphere, full of unusual situations, poetic scenes, stories, as well as bizarre scenes that ignore the boundaries and laws of rationalism .
