Romain Dorez (b. 1989, France). Drawing from geek culture (the love of computers, technology, and cool cartoons), science fiction and comics, Dorez creates paintings with messages using pop colors and iconic pop characters in a mirrored but distorted version of society. His work is inspired by many things and people, including the work of Warhol, Lichtenstein, Basquiat, Van Gogh, Picasso, Haring and Pollack, as well as from everyday life, tv, film, letters, and the words of street art.
