From Japan, Mayumi keeps an oriental heritage through expressing her passion for art. She studied oil painting and interior design, and had worked for more than 10 years in Milan before moving to the UK to start her career as a full time artist focusing on watercolor paintings. Mayumi works with quick, rapid movements, she paints ceaselessly, seizes the day and the night capturing the eternity of a moment. She synthesizes her love for watercolour through the characteristics of freshness, transparency and spontaneity. “Using rich colours with a loose technique in my paintings expresses my own feelings and attitude to life” Says Mayumi. At present Mayumi lives and works in Hamburg, Germany.
