Victor Ash (b. 1968, France) “Moon #1” (aka “Full Moon”) from ‘The Far Side Series’ (2019) Acrylic on canvas painting, hand signed, titled, and dated on the verso by the street/graffiti artist who lives in Copenhagen. This version measures 30 x 24 inches and was created as part of Ash’s June-July 2019 exhibition featuring a series of mini paintings in conjunction with 50th anniversary of the July 20, 1969 moon landing. Victor Ash has been inspired by space and science and has made it a recurring theme in his work over the years. Other such images have included those of astronauts and cosmonauts, Mars, melting suns, the rings of Saturn, an eclipse, and an asteroid in addition to “Full Moon” and the more recent “Far Side of the Moon.”
