Ting Cho Chien was born in 1970 in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia and obtained a Diploma in Fine Art from Central Academy of Art, Malaysia in 1987.

Chien's work is held in private collections worldwide including Malaysia, U.S., China, Taiwan, Singapore, Sweden, Australia, France, Holland, England, Indonesia, Japan, Brunei, Philippines, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Poland, Oman, Spain, Germay and Thailand.
