I regularly paint birds to portray a feeling or a story. On social media I had posted a picture of a painJng with birds. In response to that painJng, I received a photo with parakeets. This picture stuck in my head. Because of the colors and because one of the birds clearly does something different from the rest, the name of the bird is Agatha. That's how this painJng came about.
Painting is for me the way to express emotions, to reflect on my experiences and to tell a story. I am inspired by everyday situations, people I meet and the children I work with at school. Their enthusiasm and cheerfulness are reflected in many of my paintings. In addition to being an artist, I am a counselor for children with special educational needs. It is great to draw and paint together with children. By using drawings in my coaching, I became enthusiastic about making drawings and paintings.
