Peaceful Soul

Nathalie Gonçalves (aka Ginka) was born in Burgundy, in Avallon, where she grew up. She is still very attached to this region, to which she return when she has time. Her father is a sculptor, but he gave up his passion to support his family. Certainly, her passion for art, and for drawing in particular, comes from him. She started to draw during her youth, becoming a self-taught artist. However, when her first professional life took her away from drawing, she developed a passion for modelling in clay. But in 2016, drawing came back into her life. While initially she drew with pens, ink and a brush, later she discovered dry pastels, and the passion for this medium has continued to grow. With time, she has worked with dry pastel pencils, chalk, PanPastels and she has done experiment with new papers. According to the artist, she is constantly learning and each painting is a new challenge for her.
