Deime’ Ubani (b.1988) is a multi-disciplinary Bahamian artist of Nigerian and Barbadian descent living and working in New Providence, Bahamas. Her mixed heritage influences her love of color and use of varying mediums: acrylics, oil pastels, oil stains, magazine clippings, wood, canvas, found objects, and epoxy resin. Her brightly colored, out-of-the-box work meshes the gap between time, effects, and memory that highlights her bi-heritage - while keeping "the balance" she always seeks and thus prioritizes. Although she works in varying styles, she is best known for her abstraction; her free flow is the foundation and fundamental element of all her creations regardless of theme.
