'Two Views of a Secret,' by Chris Brizzard, Pastel on Paper Drawing
This framed 14" x 14" pastel on paper drawing by Chris Brizzard depicts the side portrait of a female sitter with short dark hair and an intense gaze. Her view is fractured by the interruption of the image with collaged vertical pieces of paper. The drawing is in a white mat and black wooden frame.
Chris Brizzard started his formal training in Texas in 2013 with Michael Mentler at the Society of Figurative Arts. From 2014 to 2017, he studied drawing and painting at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia under instructors trained by Nelson Shanks. He now teaches drawing and painting at The Oklahoma Academy of Classical Art in Edmond, Oklahoma and Oklahoma Contemporary in Oklahoma City.
