Keila Guilarte was born in Santiago de Cuba and in the Caribbean island she spent the first years of her life dedicating herself with commitment to sports. A national synchronized swimming athlete for ten years and ISEF graduate, tempered by the principles of "Fair Play'" and accustomed to challenges, she overcomes the embargo and the countless difficulties that come with it and arrives in Italy. Keila started working in fashion and television, her beauty and simplicity led her to collaborate for big fashion and Makeup brands.

Starting in 2009 she lives between Paris and Milan, where she shows for Dior Couture, Jean Paul Gaultier, Armani, Marc Jacobs, La Perla and many others. After this experience, her artistic sensibility will later lead her to develop a real interest in photography her great passion and to mature knowledge in the analog/digital field that will allow her to start her career as a professional photographer in fashion: portraits, stil life, reportage, street, and to collaborate for several newspapers. From her love for her island and gratitude to life in 2017 was born the realization of her first photographic project "Mi Tierra," a tribute to Cuba and its beauty. In 2019 his first photography exhibition in Trieste promoted as part of the International Cultural Cooperation Program with the government of Cuba

"CREATIVE HUB FVG-CUBA" and was awarded in 2021 by the association "The Children for Peace in Milan."

The Mi Tierra project became a book published by Silvana Editoriale publishing house and was presented in November 2022 edited by Patrizia Madau. Keila's work in a few years led her to collaborate with several newspapers including, Vogue Italia L'Office, Wallstreetitalia, Schòn Magazine , Vanity Fair.

In an increasingly globalized and interconnected world, reportage photography becomes Keila's great passion; to tell her stories in images towards a goal of solidarity and inclusion, new photography projects in Morocco and Uganda are born.

In 2022 Keila Guilarte becomes the official photographer of the To Get There project, the ETS (Ente Terzo Settore) founded by Massimo Leonardelli and Piero Piazzi, with the intent to help people in need and to raise a moral consciousness by reporting the suffering and hopes of the people of Uganda.
