Ariel Cusnir was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1981. He graduated from the National School of Fine Arts "Lola Mora" with a degree as a National Master of Drawing, and later completed the Teaching Degree in Sculptu- re at the National School of Fine Arts "Prilidiano Pueyrredón." He attended workshops and art clinics with Pablo Siquier, Ernesto Ballesteros, Leopoldo Estol, Viviana Blanco, Fernanda Laguna, and Roberto Jacobi, among others. He participated in workshops on Oriental Watercolor and Sumi at the Yamada Ryu School with Tomás Yamada. In 2000, he founded the "Vanguardia" art gallery in a peripheral neighborhood of the city, and later became part of the project and gallery "Appetite" in Buenos Aires. He was a fellow at the Center for Artistic Research (CIA), and currently teaches art at the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF). His work is part of public and private collections in the United States, Switzerland, France, Brazil, Ecuador, Spain, Peru, and Argentina.
