Bringing together 9 international galleries from France, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Taiwan, and Cuba, and 26 national galleries from all over Spain. ArtMadrid serves as a place where art lovers and collectors meet with the most up-to-date contemporary art.

For this year’s edition, The Selection Committee put in the utmost effort to ensure the high level artistic quality of the fair. In doing so, the Committee didn’t hesitate to consider both the proposal by the galleries and the individual careers of the artists.

Once again, the fair didn’t fail to attract a significant number of the public and new buyers. All the last five editions had 20,000 visitors each which bears a great possibility to engage people with contemporary art from around the globe. Newby or experienced collector, art connoisseur or just a regular, curious wanderer, ArtMadrid’23 had pieces to offer to everyone.

So what was new this year? Alfonso de la Torre, art critic and curator, conducted interviews with eight artists from ArtMadrid’23, under the name Infinite Conversations, to introduce those who might be interested to the world of the artists. Dancing around a common theme the artists were invited to talk about their art.

Not stopping with that, sponsored by One Shot Hotels, ArtMadrid’23 also launched a Collectors Program called “One Shot Collectors. Notwithstanding any status or prerequisites, the public was brought closer to contemporary art thanks to this venture.

As a prominent part of the contemporary art world, ArtMadrid’s experts believe that collecting art can take many forms. One might argue that it is a great passion for some alongside its material and spiritual returns. This is why, ArtMadrid’23 opened its doors to the public while providing a space for artists to freely express themselves.
