In 2017, Claudia and Askan Quittenbaum opened their Gallery of Contemporary Art and Fine Design at Theresienstrasse, situated right in the museum quarter of Miich, with the exhibition of Alexandra Hendrikoff's 'Noetische Hand Arbeiten'. In the last 20 years, Quittenbaum's auction house as become an constant for Design and Art avicionados, with its specialisation in Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Design and Murano Glas. A gallery exhibition offers more space and time to focus intently on a chosen subject. Artists and designers who concentrate on social or ecological matters are in the centre of attention. Alexandra Hendrikoff occupied herself with the knowledge and portrayal of 'Being' and the visualisation of the circle of life. Rudolf Kämmer, on the other hand, explores the cognitive ability of the beholder with his constructive object paintings and invites to critical examination and participation.
