Federico Rui began working in a prestigious gallery in Milan in 1995, in 2002 he founded with a partner the Pittura Italiana Gallery, with which organizes more than fifty exhibitions (in gallery and outside), paying special attention to the promotion of young artists. In 2010 born Federico Rui Contemporary Art and in 2012 was inaugurated the space of Via Turati with a retrospective of Aligi Sassu on the centenary of his birth. He deals with twentieth century Italian masters and emerging artists with a particular attention for figurative painting. He participates since 2004 in the most important trade fairs (Milan, Verona, Bologna, Padova, Bergamo, Vicenza) and collaborates with leading Italian auction. He has organized and participated in exhibitions in London, Brussels, Rome, Genoa, Venice, etc. He has curated art exhibitions for Timberland, Lloyd's, the European Parliament in Brussels, Banca Popolare di Lodi, FAI, Quadrennial of Rome, Poltrona Frau, the City of Milan, City of Como, Prix La Fenice, publishing several books of artists for Skira and Allemandi. Several artists represented have participated in major international exhibitions including the Venice Biennale. The Gallery is located in the historical center of Milan, a hundred meters far from the well know via della Spiga. He is in the advisor board of Grand Art - modern and contemporary art fair, and member of Angamc (Associazione Nazionale Gallerie d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea)
