In frames of the project, art-works of more than 15 distinguished Ukrainian artists will be presented to the Greek audience. The project was organized by the Culture Center “ArtLine” under the auspices of the Embassy of Ukraine in Greece and the Consulate of Ukraine in Thessaloniki.
The exhibition is designed to present to the Greek public a variety of techniques, styles and creative approaches of contemporary Ukrainian artists. The exhibition will feature both classical painting and unique original techniques of painting on glass and wood, sculpture, ceramics and exclusive jewelry from the famous Ukrainian brand "Fursa Fashion".
The curator of the project, renowned Ukrainian artist Marianna Abramova, set a goal to present the creative energy and potential of Ukrainian art, to reveal what inspires it and what becomes a creative impulse for the artist, to explore the interaction of different arts, and thus comprehend the dialogue in art and culture through the works of Ukrainian artists.
"This project, created in collaboration with Greek gallery owner and co-curator Natasa Govedarou, is another bright link in the chain of cultural ties and creative dialogue between the two countries. It aims to expand the field of intercultural dialogue and consolidate the successful steps already taken in the direction of our cooperation in the field of culture between Ukraine and Greece "- says Marianna Abramova
The project was conceived and was due to be presented to the Greek audience in May this year.
But the quarantine has happened that seemed to paralyze life both externally and internally. Each of us and the world as a whole had to comprehend himself in new realities. For some, this pause was a stimulus for a creative explosion, for some a moment of silence and reflection. But one way or another, the project, designed to highlight the place of creative impulse, creative understanding of reality in the era of high technology and super speeds, during this time of "global pause" proved to be even more relevant.
The world lockdown in the limited space of apartments turned up to what we used to take for granted - namely to art. The quarantined man turned to the book, reviewed many of the Museum's exhibits online, watched cinema masterpieces and listened to the music of all times.
“RE: CREATION” project offers you the opportunity to look behind the scenes of the "creative laboratory" of contemporary Ukrainian artists, to analyze what becomes a nourishing resource that pushes to action , what types and works of world art are reflected in the paintings of contemporary Ukrainian artists.
Thus Marianna Abramova explores the theme of theater in our lives, where we are spectators and at the same time creators of the reality that is hidden behind the scenes and is about to open to our vision.
Irina Akimova is inspired by Shakespeare’s plays and interprets images of Romeo and Juliet’s eternal love, as well as the inevitable drama of the Montecchi and Capuletti conflict in an abstract way, capturing the casts of peak emotional states.
The energy and passion of Argentine tango is hidden in the contrasting, dynamic paintings of Inna Katyushchenko.
Nature becomes the starting point of creativity of a number of bright artists.
Katerina Pyatakova sees the beauty of nature as the main source of inspiration and recreates in her pastel works the living matter of the sea to a sense of presence.
Yaroslav Valiev gives nature and the element of water a symbolic meaning - in his paintings the mountains become a metaphor for the dialogue between the past and the future, and the sea - a stormy stream of consciousness.
Alina Khrapchynskaya studies the changing states of nature with the help of a bright fleshy color texture in paintings created in the open air in different parts of the world, including Greece.
Lilia Postil's landscapes are also a kaleidoscope of bright emotions and natural states.
And Olena Smal praises the Cosmos and cosmic energy as the organizing energy of life.
In the bright ceramic works of Mariia Litichevskaya - the beauty and unique expressiveness of natural springs: geysers and minerals.
The female image as the embodiment of natural harmony - in the elegant, laconic sculptural compositions of Nabil Wehbe (Ukraine - Lebanon).
The woman appears in a key way in the work of Tatiana Cherevan, who successfully combines in the presented works the study of women's psychology with the reproduction of exotic sensuality and the taste of journeys.
And on the black / white canvases of Aleksandra Musienko, woman is a symbol of beauty and an unsolved mystery.
Alexander Fandikov - a creator of legends and a connoisseur of mystical creatures - recreates the seasons with the help of forest minstrels, who sing the melody of autumn, and his magical character "Dream Guardian" protects home comfort at any time and under any circumstances.
The play of sun and light on unique glass paintings by Lilia Zadoyanchuk who co - authored the creative process and each time revealed the luxury of the recreated moment of life.
The impulse for the work of Paolo Vasilevich is philosophical reflections, embodied in the complex compositional and colorful mosaic of the work of "John".
Dmitriy Zazimko turns to the mystery of signs and symbols of ancient times, trying to reveal the meaning of today's events through the magic of the past.
The bright note of the project is the exclusive jewelry from the Ukrainian brand "Fursa Fashion", which skillfully combines ethnic Ukrainian motifs and modern design, and thus makes Ukrainian history a part of today’s life.
The world will probably never be the same. Certain things will change radically but what became obvious is that it is impossible without creative self-knowledge and art as one of the brightest links in this process. Art has always been and will be a window to the world - even through the closed borders.
The "RE: CREATION" project invites you to share that vital energy of inspiration that is fulfilled in unique pieces of painting, sculpture, ceramics and exclusive jewelry by famous Ukrainian brand “Fursa Fashion”.
