Beauty endows women with power. Mighty and powerful men bow to beautiful women and they have the whole world at their feet. Power brings might and omnipotence, assures rightness and infallibility. It brings wealth; it opens the way for indulging any whim. Like a heavy precious crown, the power crowns the head of those who are endowed with it and turns them into fairy-tale monarchs to whom all and everything is subject. This crown can be invisible, yet everyone perceives its presence.
Power is of the female gender, and it is fickle. Fickle as a stunningly beautiful woman. It can blind eyes and mislead. Flattery and jealousy are the elements of those who wear such a crown. Yet it is no longer possible to part with power. It becomes flesh and blood of its carriers, merges with them turning into a single chimeric organism and the living body becomes an extension of the crown of power. It towers overhead as a gothic cathedral hovering over tiny houses of a medieval town. The head becomes void and resonant like a high hall.
A seductive young woman smiles mysteriously pleased with her majestic beauty. She feels the flow of the energy of power that caresses her sumptuous body. She enjoys the sense of power. The crown shines over her head with a glare of another reality. The crown and the body, power and soul merge into one whole.

Volodymyr Tsisaryk, 1978, is a Ukrainian sculptor. He studied Monumental and Decorative Sculpture as academic disciplines and earned a Master’s degree with honors.
In his sculptural practices, among other materials, he gives preference to bronze but also interacts confidently with aluminum, wood, and stone. The artist works and travels a lot, and with inspiration, this creative approach determines the balance of his art and the silent eloquence of his sculptures. His numerous art exhibitions took place in various locations across the globe for the past decades: Bucharest, Chéngdū, Dubai, Helsinki, Kyiv, Lviv.
Volodymyr explores people’s nature, capturing the concepts of power, fear, knowledge, longing, dependence, forgiveness, and pleasure. All the artworks are quite different in design, and it is such heterogeneous spatial formats that make it possible to create a gallery of human beings. Sculptural figures are ourselves, our emotions, thoughts, and risks.
