This unique piece, created by Toni Marmota, is created with alcohol ink on horse paper in a 50 x 70 cm format.

Burgos, Spain

Toni Marmota is an author of comic, painter, illustrator, photographer, video artist,... multidisciplinary artist belonging to the cultural movement "La Movida", multiple aspects that he combines with music as a bassist of the group La Frontera.

Drawing crosses his path "by accident" at the age of 16, a forced rest brings him closer to the world of comics, from reading he began to experiment with the initiation to drawing. His work is influenced by the North American underground comic, and he has managed to consolidate his own style, marked by the rotundity of the brushstroke, generating a transgressive work, with a naif point. Skulls, musicians, bikers, couples... parade in their works distilling a mixture of nostalgia and stories yet to be told.

His paintings show figures with thick, apparently simple strokes that, above all, are moving.

Musician, photographer, video artist, comic author, illustrator, painter, Toni does not marry anyone, but falls in love with everyone. His work is always, and in any format, transgressive, funny, with a naive touch and a lot of melancholy.
