About the Artists

, Italy

Baldassarre Mario is an Italian artist living and working in Berlin. After Graduating from Goldsmiths University of the Arts in London (2017) in Fine Art and Art History, he moves to Germany in order to work at the Alicja Kwade studio for two years. This range of experiences lead him to aquire the necessary tools for a conceptually driven practice characterised by a strong method of working. Baldassarre’s work is by nature investigative, his interest lies within the ordinary, and with the help of audio recordings and video, uses his direct environment as a source of inspiration. Most projects encompass the theme of memory as a means to address society’s relationship with time, how this can be evoked through space, and become a means to withold knowledge. Included in a variety of exhibitions, a few include ‘I am NOT Tino Sehgal’ at Nahmad Projects (London), Galleria A. Bonomo in Rome and inclusion in the last two years of Berlin gallery week.
