Screen-printing work by the artist Marco Lodola, famous for his stylized figures, which enclose a trend towards vintage iconography, updated by Pop shapes and colors. One of the greatest passions of this artist is music, in fact, he often creates works with subjects closely linked to this world, collecting over time famous admirers and developing artistic collaborations contaminated by it. Even the Pin Up are very much represented by Lodola, just in honor of the vintage imagery, which most represents him. Here these two cultures meet: a Pin Up becomes a Charleston dancer. The work is framed, numbered 48/50 at the bottom left and manually signed by the artist at the bottom right.

1995 , Italy

Marco Lodola was born in April 1955 in Dorno, in the province of Pavia. He is one of the founders of the "Nuovo Futurismo" group, together with Dario Brevi. Promoted by the theories of the critic Renato Barilli, the movement wants to re-propose the exaltation of modernity inspired by the historical avant-garde.

The assignments that Lodola receives come from extremely heterogeneous sectors: from industries to public institutions, from the cultural to the advertising world. He collaborates among others with Carlsberg, Coca Cola, Coveri, Dash, Ducati, Fabbri, Illy, Swatch and Seat. In the theater, he collaborates with Puccini's Opera Tosca and with the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, creating works in perpex and neon with a lively color scheme.

He creates different logos and images for important institutions such as the Turin Winter Olympics, the Giro d'Italia, Arci, Red Ronnie's Roxy Bar, Fiat Avio, Juventus and Air One. The layouts of the facades in which Lodola successfully engages, such as the interventions on Ca 'd'Oro in Venice during the 2011 Biennale, are very colorful and evocative.

Also known are his musical collaborations with Max Pezzali, Timoria, Omar Pedrini, Jovanotti and others. A further example of its versatility is manifested in the creation of scenographies for heterogeneous sectors from that for the Vivienne Westwood fashion show in 2011 during the Milan fashion week to film and television scenography.
