Iván Quesada, has been largely self-taught, including drawing classes with the renowned sculptor Mauro Álvarez Fernández, where he excelled in anatomy. During this period, he had the honor of meeting Mr. Magín Berenguer Alonso, an intellectual artist from Asturias, with whom he established a mutual admiration.
Quesada, recognized for his tireless work and research, stands out as a contemporary master of figuration and one of the best portraitists. His creative approach manifests itself in monochrome oil paintings on large canvases, defying pictorial orthodoxy. His distinctive energetic brushwork and mastery of light and color create unique atmospheres in each work.
