'Virtual Reality 2,' by George Oswalt, Oil on Canvas Painting
This large scale 80" x 72" oil painting by George Oswalt features a summertime theme of women and girls at the beach with a beachball and seagull in the foreground. The two young girls are dressed identically in blue one piece swimsuits and one holds a plastic blow-up toy while the other holds the hand of a fully dressed young woman. The taller woman stands sideways in the foreground gazing at the viewer in a state of undress only wearing high heels. The painting is a study of the progression of time between youth and womanhood.
