Retrieving the tradition of Renaissance portraiture and mixing it with the expressive urgencies of contemporaneity, his work is placed on the dividing line between physiognomic and psychoanalytic thinking. He tells us the deafening silence of human brutality through portraits of children, women, men or ancient paintings that tell thousands of stories, places and eras corroded by the carelessness of man.
1992 Cosenza, Italy
Francesco Minuti graduated from the Artistic High School of Cosenza and specialized in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catanzaro.
As an artist, Minuti has been trained in the studio of his father, the artist Maestro Diego Minuti, from which he learned various painting techniques. Retrieving the tradition of Renaissance portraiture and combining it with the expressive urgencies of contemporaneity, his work is placed on the dividing line between physiognomic and psychoanalytic thinking. Minuti shows us the deafening silence of human brutality through portraits of children, women, men or ancient paintings that tell thousands of stories, places and eras corroded by man's carelessness. However, the classic elements are transfigured by the force of an energetic, solid and vibrant painting, by the corrosions and oxidations of acids and fire, which pierces the time barrier to return intact the centrality of the human figure, an indissoluble fusion of soma and psyche.
He has participated in numerous awards and art exhibitions in Italy, Spain, Hungary, the United Arab States and the USA, China and Singapore.
