Bonzanos A.G., Metropolis, Scultura in filo SLS Duraform, realizzata con stampante 3D, 40x23x18,5 cm, 2017

2010 casale monferrato, Italy

The artistic research of the group Bonzanos is focused on the theme of the body, understood as an interactive and connective architecture between the individual and others, between the self and the universe.
The research on the human body is carried out through an artistic discipline that can be defined as "emotional physiognomy".
If the pseudoscientific discipline of physiognomy wanted to deduce psychological and moral characters from the physical appearance and facial expressions of a person, "emotional physiognomy" is, instead, the study of the signs produced by emotions on the human body, evidence of an inner spirituality.

The emotions experienced produce feelings and the latter the expressive signs, which trigger a process of transfiguration even of the physical forms imposed by genetics.
Revealing these signs, is the testimony of consciousness, the photographic restitution of "the human soul".

The body is therefore identified as a place of formation of consciousness as well as a participatory element of cognitive activity, through reactions triggered by sensory experiences and the resulting emotions and feelings that these develop; in short, all ideas, actions and every form of human culture and society, were produced under the motivational drive of emotions and feelings.

Through the body and its emotional mechanisms, the Bonzanos reflect on the mystery of existence, biological evolution and the collective consciousness of a post-human society, perhaps directed towards a transhuman evolution, where sustainable coexistence is the most urgent issue to be addressed for the survival on one planet of different societies and different forms of life.
