1980 Isola del Liri, Italy

Lorenzo Mastroianni was born in Isola del Liri (Fr) on 25 August 1980. Specializing in portrait photography, he has been a professional photographer since 2003.

In 2010 he began an artistic research work on the lowbrow surrealist portrait, a current that recalls different styles within it: “gothic, steampunk, surrealism and Victorian”. Thus the artistic project Blink Photographic Circus was born. He personally takes care of photographs, sets, stage costumes and installations. The works are exhibited, in miniature, in a circus tent housed in music boxes and visible through magnifying glasses provided to visitors at the entrance. Since 2010, the show has participated in 360 national and international contemporary art festivals, theaters, street art, contemporary circus and galleries.

Berlin, Brussels, Barcelona, Paris, Lugano, Locarno, Lausanne, Bern, Bellinzona, Vienna, Graz, Maribor, Skopje, in the Eliseo theaters, Sala Umberto in Rome, Verdi in Parma, Municipal of Casalmaggiore (Bo) and Municipal of Reggio Emilia are some of the most exciting professional experiences among which the convocation as guest of honor at the Giffoni Film Festival and the staging at the Venice Carnival in 2018 stand out.

In 2012 he is the only Italian photographer to be selected by the director of Vogue magazine, Franca Sozzani, and invited to exhibit in the One Peace Art gallery in via Margutta in Rome on the night of Vogue Fashion's Night Out. Il corriere della Sera, Architectural Digest and La Repubblica publish images and dedicate extensive reports to the project. In 2015 the FIAP, Federation International of Photographic Art of Paris, named the Blink Circus project among the most beautiful exhibitions of the year in its almanac.

In 2019 a guide to the best contemporary artists from 1950 to today was included by De Agostini in the "Atlas of Contemporary Art".
