indian ink and acrylic colours on cotton mixed paper
Milan, Italy
Aria Carelli is an artist who lives and works in Milan. Her artworks are like windows on a dreamlike world made by delicate and evanescent tones. The brush strokes with watercolors flow on the surface of the paper, drawing magical paths, while the acrylic and the ink help to define the recurrent figures, like the “The Fat Lady” and “The Man with the hat”. Figures that travel from the music and poetry world directly into the Aria's artworks. In fact, she is strongly influenced by the words in books and by the songs of the most famous italian songwriters. So it appens to see in her artworks poetic verses and words, that float in this poetic “somewhere else”.
