With "Pès" I wanted to tell the new Milanese generation, composed of so many ethnic groups, who have assimilated strengths and weaknesses of the average Milanese, day after day. The painting represents a sushi bar, full of people of many colors. The sign "Pès", which means fish in Milanese dialect, shows how the history and tradition of a city has now merged with everything that it has encountered in recent years. A sushi bar with a sign in Milanese dialect had never been seen !!! Logically it is a cliché that today can be used for all European and non-European cities
