Andrea Sangalli, was born in Vaprio d’Adda (MI) in 1974. His professional formation and specialization in graphical field led him to elaborate a stylistic figure original and expressive. Characterised by an ironic view of the world, Andrea’s works has as subjects situations or objects which are obvious metaphors of an existence that guarantees only apparent freedom to man. The irony is assured by the estrangement given by the sequences of subjects – where the fish are famous – that passed in a variable but repetitive reality emerge to be only apparently alive, and reveals to be instead not able to make any movement even intellectual. The titles guide the viewer to comprehend, the concept attempting to keep the true freedom on the thin wire of sharing. Attractive and fascinating colours characterize his works with definite and emphasised strokes, of instant visual and communicative impact. Sangalli with attention and accuracy gives the viewer’s eyes an amused and disenchanted look on the contemporaneity, without indulging judgement. The technical preparation coming from the press world allows him to create manually, besides his paintings, copies of his own numbered prints. During his career he has exhibited in Montecarlo, Lugano, Florence, Pavia, Bologna, Verona, Paris and Basel. He is proud of various collaborations in his working field and he admits to bond his subjects to whoever approaches art with politeness. He lives and works in Pozzo d’Adda (MI).
