Through his work, the artist Xavi Carbonell invites us to enter in his particular universe.
His passion for art and a compelling need to express his feelings, led him to enter the world of painting more than two decades ago.
His main influences have not only come from artists like Basquiat, Cy Twombly, Saura and other Abstract Expressionism, but also of the doodles sketched by children. He reflects his interest in children's art in his art works,
Also he leaves all of his pieces "untitled" so that each viewer can create his/her own story. The resulting work is fresh, composed, and powerful. Also is a kind of art very eye catching and colorful that bring joy to any space.
He paints with mix media technique (oil, acrylic, pencils, markers, charcoal, etc) on canvas with primer.
He carries out its production between Alicante (Spain) and New York.
His work has been exhibited in galleries, museums and art centers. Arteinversión, Carmen de la Guerra (Madrid), THEMA (Valencia), the CADA (Alcoy), are examples. It has been present also in numerous international exhibitions, highlighting Dubai, Antwerp and New York Affordable.

He has been selected in numerous awards: XIII Painting Prize 2012 University of Murcia, the Third Biennial of Engraving Etching 2011 Valladolid, and in three editions of the Bancaja Prizes for Painting, Sculpture and Digital Art, in 2009, 2008 and 2006 as well as on I Alcoy Art Biennale, 1996.

His work is included in numerous public and private collections.
