Pierre Boulat began photography in 1938. At the Liberation, he began his career in the Parisian press on topical subjects, personalities and miscellaneous facts. In 1957, he produced two reports in the United States "in excluded" published in millions of copies: "The look of a French on American Women" and "The Military Academy of West Point". Great success which earned him to collaborate for years with the prestigious LIFE magazine, also Paris Match, Elle or the National Geographic. His reports and portraits of personalities from the political world, of arts and fashion offer an elegant photographic look at its "subjects", carried by an intimacy of captured atmospheres.
