Núria Güell reveals the perverse underlying strategies hidden in actions, languages and concepts. Her practice analyzes the flaws within these strategies applied by institutions such as banks, legislative and judicial authorities for domination purposes. Her methodology consists in subverting the law, disarticulating its unidirectional mechanisms and revealing the unethical procedures of hegemonic power. With a Fine Arts degree from the Universidad de Barcelona, she continues her study in the Cátedra Arte de Conducta in Habana, under the guidance of Tania Bruguera.

Her work has been exhibited in biennials, museums and institutions across Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, Middle East and USA. Her work has been presented in various group shows, including Coreografías del género, CCCB, Barcelona; Picasso et l’exil, Les Abattoirs, Musée – Frac Occitanie Toulouse; and Borderlines, Talbot Rice Gallery, Edinburgh. She recently has displayed her works individually at Casal Solleric, Mallorca; Biennale Warszawa; CAC Brétigny, Brétigny-sur-Orge; MUSAC Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de León; and MAZCUL Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Zulia, Maracaibo. She has won a number of awards and scholarships, such as Premi GAC, in 2014, and Antoni Gelabert Prize, from Casal Solleric in Mallorca, last year.
