Noell (born in 1970) is a French painter based in Sud-Gironde. He is the son of a self-employed carpenter. Practicing drawing from an early age, he turned to studies as an architect's collaborator.
He will then work in an architectural firm to embark on an active life. Also passionate about music, he will invest himself fully as an author, composer and performer in the life of groups (bass, guitar and vocals).
Concerts and tours will follow. This will be an opportunity for him to keep a link with drawing by creating different illustrations and posters for groups and cultural associations.
We will also feel this influence through the harmony and musicality of his painting in the same way as one of his many masters such as Kandinsky. For him, colors and notes can express the same emotion in the same way as rhythm. Following this (turbulent) mini career as a musician, he devoted himself more to his family life with the birth of his daughter.
He will train professionally as a freelance graphic designer and will work mainly for cultural associations organizing concerts and various events until 2014. Life then directs him in an introspective work that will push him to study and practice different activities. related to "personal development" and "well-being".
It is only since 2019 that he has taken up his palette with frenzy to start his final work. With the dissemination on the internet of his original and authentic works, he will soon be noticed and invited to collaborate with professionals (town hall, galleries).
Major influences: impressionism, expressionism (German, American), surrealism, COBRA, free figuration, lyrical abstraction, art brut, primitive and parietal art.
