Max Steven Grossman was born in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1971. He originally studied engineering and graduated from the University of Philadelphia in 1994. Soon after he discovered his passion in life for photography. In 2000, Max Steven graduated from New York University and the International Center of Photography with a Master of Arts specializing in photography. The two diverse studies of engineering and the arts have helped to mold the creative photography of Grossman into a study of reality and imagination. In his photographic series of "Bookscapes," the assembled libraries only exist in his photographs. From photos of different bookshelves, he reorganizes them into a creative digital composition of a new thematic "Bookscape".
