Mary Pudlat is a Candian artist, born near Puvirnituq, in 1923. Unfortunately, she passed away in 2001. She was a printmaker and illustrator who became involved with the Kinngait graphics movement in the 1960s. She depicted whimsical scenes of camp life, community history and imaginative stories.

Mary Pudlat's work would be included numerous times in the Cape Dorset Annual Print Collection throughout her career and it can be found in several major artistic institutions, as the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art and the National Gallery of Canada.
