Marcela Magno (Argentina), is an artist whose work combines geopolitics, technical imagery, and fiction. She investigates the nature and power of machine-generated images. She uses digital, satellite, medical and CGI (computer generated imagery) imagery to push the boundaries of authorship and photographic specificity. On the one hand, he is interested in the connections between science, nature, technology, and the particular ways of inhabiting territory. On the other hand, he works with a conceptual approach to the photographic medium, questioning the nature of digital photography as a hinge between the real and the virtual world.
