Lorenzo Crivellaro (Milan, 1961) is an Italian artist, designer and publicist. A multifaceted personality, Lorenzo Crivellaro is a painter who has always been fascinated by the combination of manual skills and creativity, which has led him to continuously experiment with styles, subjects and materials until he has found a balance that has matured and then stabilised in his most recent works. Crivellaro's unique works and art prints, with their clearly discernible Pop art influences, are a tribute to the everyday life of a tranquil and serene past where Carousel characters, historical brands, products, comics and the icons of a consumerism in its infancy and we might say 'innocent', come back to life like sweet memories never dulled by those who were children then; the generation to which the Milanese artist belongs lived, in fact, in a world where media bombardment did not exist and advertising discreetly accompanied everyone's life. On highly textured canvases, prepared with stucco and cement, the painter Crivellaro intervenes by focusing and giving new life to fragments of his and our recent history, in skilfully constructed and studied compositions of great pleasure. The artist's name is often associated with the original representations of Coca-Cola in art: the sugary drink is the product par excellence and the advertising associated with it is a true aesthetic heritage shared by many generations in others.
