Lélia Demoisy lives and works in the Yvelines.

She graduated from the Arts Décoratifs de Paris in 2015 with a degree in scenography but decided to devote herself to the visual arts when she received the "Young Talent" grant from the Fondation Mécène & Loire in 2016. Favoring the mediums of sculpture and installation, Lélia Demoisy seeks to study our relationship to nature and the living as individuals. All her work tends to put forward our bodily relationship to the material as a fundamental data of our relationship to the living.

She wrote a thesis in 2014 about the idea of fusion with nature and even added the story of a personal experience of immersion in a Canadian forest in the middle of winter. This research will deeply mark her and give all the line of her work as a visual artist.

In addition to creating sculptures, she joins landscape artists to work directly with the living on installations for Chaumont-sur-Loire (2015), Lausanne Jardins (2019) or Annecy Paysages (2021). In 2019, she is hosted in residence at the Trueno Tribe in Patagonia (Argentina) and starts a research work around Indian ink drawing and screen printing.
