Trained at the University of Seville and Barcelona, her career is extensive if we take into account the different European cities where she has lived (Florence, Berlin, Brussels) and the different artistic residencies she has done (Lisbon, Cantabria, Slovenia). All this training has helped her to come into contact with the gallery and the commercial circle from a very young age, as well as to make friends with different artists of the national and international scene.
Inma Fierro's painting is an expressionist painting that develops intermittently between the abstract and the figurative. The leitmotiv revolves around the female gender, memory and the passage of time. Her subject matter is sometimes expressed through collage, gestures and even words; and the light comes from memories of her native Andalusia.
Since his beginnings, the color of this young artist has opined thoughts and moments of his personal life through plastic matter. It is through this that his motif makes sense and his discourse is filled with symbolism of a particular language. An autobiographical work always rooted in everyday life and in the human being in general.

The garden is a state of mind
From different places and cultures of the Earth, images of Paradise, crystallized desires
to us images of Paradise, crystallized desires,
dreams of continuous orchards or islands of peace.
"Small paradises. The spirit of gardens"
Mario Satz
For Matisse painting a picture meant building with color and line under the maxim of capturing a subjective emotion. I don't like to distinguish between the feeling that life gives me and the way I translate it into my painting, he said. His trips to Morocco brought him closer to nature and paradisiacal visual impressions. To gardens as a refuge. One of his favorite subjects was the image of the window and, through it, the landscape. In this type of scenes, another element also acquired prominence: the still life on the window sill or on a table. Trays with fruit, pots with plants, vases with flowers. They were her own little paradises.
Like Matisse, Inma Fierro has her own gardens and in the still lifes that compose them she captures her subjective emotions through color and by means of the type of plant or flower chosen as the protagonist. His still lifes, ambivalent, oscillate between realism and abstraction, between symbolic content and emancipation of meanings. They are vanitas but also locus amoenus. They are memento mori but also private edens brimming with life.
The works in "The Garden" form a botanical catalog that combines concepts, they are presented as a surface for the projection of the artist's impressions as well as an ideal support for chromatic and luminous experiments. Copying only the objects that make up a still life is not art. The only important thing is to translate the feeling they awaken in oneself, again in the words of the French painter. In these scenes Inma Fierro frees the plants from their model to capture the essential. She simplifies the strokes in order to transmit vitality. Her scenes, in spite of the flat treatment and without perspective of the space, speak of places to dwell, of places in which to generate roots, of "islands of peace" (as Satz would say) in which to stay and meditate. In "The Inhabited Landscape" the philosopher Carlos Muñoz Gutiérrez states: The garden is a state of mind that we wish to provoke in the garden. Gardens, propitious places to nurture inner gardens of desire, fantasy, reflection, truth or oblivion. Thus, each garden requires its own recollection. Each garden has its own spirit. Thus, the series "The Garden" brings together different gardens and each one is a state of mind.
