  • About the Artist

The paintings by Hayley Arjona are abstract narratives that gravitate around the relationship between the human being and the natural world, captured through his personal experiences and particularly interested in those poetic moments, they perfectly embody the feeling of successful fusion with nature. Her works combine psychological self-portraits, sacred sites, and archetypal symbolism.

Growing up in Adelaide Hayley Arjona moved to Melbourne in 1999, accepting a scholarship, to study a Masters of Fine Art from the Victorian College of the Arts. Besides many, solo and group, exhibitions Hayley has also created large scale works for festivals in Australia and Europe, murals and set painting for film and television productions. She currently resides in North central Victoria on a farm raising free range pigs and sheep and paints from her studio, the converted hay shed. Hayley's most recent exhibitions include; “A-holeistic Approach” 2015 at Blank Space Gallery, Surry Hills NSW “Already Dead” 2015 at c3 Gallery Abbotsford Victoria and “Rock 'N' Roll Redneck” 2014 at CASPA in Castlemaine Victoria.
