Gejo makes most of her works in the kanshitsu (dry lacquer) technique. She creates forms that are moulded using cloth, clay and plaster. Using metal leaves, powder and coloured urushi she conveys the charms of various forms of lacquer.
In 2011 she won the Encouragement Award at the 50th Japan Craft Exhibition, Marunouchi Building Hall, Tokyo. After a brief stop in her activity, she has resumed the artistic activity with several group and solo shows.
