Hadil El Faramawy’s work transcends from two of the most important art movements in the 20th century; Expressionism and Post- Impressionism. ElFaramawy studied in Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore and under the mentorship of several international artists’ programs such as Gill Saul, Amanda Evanston, Dr.Tarek Abdel Azim, Dr. Mohamed Abla and Richard Claremont, where she excelled honing her skills and finding her unique voice. Her reflexive understanding of the arts was tested and extended by her need to create and express, continually being transformed through practical application. She bases her practices upon exploration and experimental techniques, using oil and acrylic as her main mediums. She produces vivid and spirited artworks, taking her audience through a whimsical trip, enchanting them with colours, fluidness and diverse lines. Being on the move -living in five countries, and visiting many cities in each region she stayed- inspired ElFaramawy’s interest in several subject matters; from landscapes to florals and abstract representations of everyday life. Presenting unique work influenced by the places she has visited, and rooted in cultural influences from Egyptian nuances, to Asian experiences and Milanese design; creating a unique representation of her point of view. The artist had several exhibitions in Cairo, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, giving artists and art lovers alike a glance at her distinctive artistic experience.
